| I need a Rock collection. For serious. |
[Mar. 8th, 2009|01:17 pm] |
Oooooooooooh.... I am crushing on Dwayne Johnson so hard now. He just totally pulled a Hugh Jackman.
I can't handle it. I'm serious. This has to be the funniest skit I've seen on SNL ever.
I so love this man. LOVE him. |

It's been a while since I posted some video surreality, and since I mentioned this video to some folks recently, I thought they'd like to see it. Guns 'n' Roses' "Sweet Child O' Mine"..... on sitar!
Sitar Hero, here I come! *gigglechucklesnort* I luvs da weirdness. Happy Monday! |

| Because life's not nearly weird enough... |
[Feb. 20th, 2009|11:48 am] |
... and in honor of the Overhyped Awards this weekend, I present to you "8 Humiliating Japanese Ads Starring Oscar Nominees". This is providing myself and my coworkers much-needed hilarity on this craptastic On Sale Day.
Also, to continue riding the surreality flow, I must share with you a video, sent to me by my sister, called "Kittens Inspired by Kittens", created and performed by a six-year-old girl.
I'm boggling.
And I desperately want to meet her parents. |

| State of the House, Illustrated Edition |
[Feb. 3rd, 2009|02:29 pm] |
Jeremy got a kickass camera recently, and in result, we've been going photo-mad. He's posted some of the pictures he's taken in his lj - a collection of pictures of me (awwwwww, you sweetie Bear), a whole passel o' poochie pics, some of our Post-Modern-College Dormesque apartment, and one I took of him and Ditko (hee hee hee, dog in a sweater!)
Today, though, I also want to share with you some pictures I've taken recently. 'Cause, y'know, I can't resist our shiny new camera. It's soooooo preeeeeeeeetty......
And works so very well.

This picture was taken at 3 AM with no flash, of my house's stairstructure to the third floor studio. Amazing at capturing low light, isn't it?

Suspicious Jax is suspicious. (Jer actually took this shot.)

Grafton's new truck is goddamn-Browns-orange. Highly disturbing, given that he's driving it in Michigan, but hey, at least it's functional and we can find it in a parking lot.

Speaking of Grafton.... I looooooooooove this shot I got of him.

I told you it was good in low light. Very important to me - I love Cleveland's skies, and now we finally have a camera that can capture them in all their glory.

*sigh* SO pretty.
Annnnnnnd..... all together now, in your best Eddie Izzard voice.....
 moar funny pictures
*falls over laughing* |

Upon watching a blip of commercial during Good Eats -
Narrator (Probably Jim Cummings): "It's the thing that can bring a seasoned chef to tears..."
bec76: Is that chef crying olive oil?
grf: Probably. If he's really a well-seasoned chef.
bec76: Only if he's got good taste.
Goodbye, G. I'll miss you till you come home. Take Cranbrook by storm. |

| Some days, I really love the internet... Now with bonus whacked-out video! |
[Dec. 8th, 2008|10:48 am] |
I present to you, one of the coolest ways to use the internet *ever* - The YouTube Symphony Orchestra! Get online with your instrument and collaborate with the best and the brightest around the world on a symphony by Dan Tun, composer of the fabulous music of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. If I played anything, I'd be there... but all I can do is sing, and there's no vocal component.
In other news, here's possibly the most bizarre interpretation of the phrase "Hamster Dance" I've ever seen.
Enjoy the weirdness. Happy Monday! |

| Across the Walrusverse |
[Nov. 12th, 2008|12:12 pm] |
Like many people out there in the world, I was a bit disappointed by Bono's version of "I Am the Walrus" in Across the Universe.
I think they should have gone to Jim Carrey instead.
However, I think Eddie Izzard just nailed "Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite".
I really should be doing useful things, like laundry, instead of cruising der YouTuben. |

| I swear, I can stop looking at YouTube any time I want.... |

A while back, a whole bunch of folks (myself included) pointed out how amazingly awesome this ASL interpretation of Marilyn Manson's "This Is the New Sh*t" truly is...
... and Bjorn Storm is back, betches! W00T!
Bjorn has once again brought his truly well-honed ASL interpretation skillz to the next level with a wicked-killa-mega-booyah version of Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy". (One of my favorite songs, yay!)
If you were interested, as I was, in turning Bjorn 30 years older to be his own therapist, he thoughtfully provided us with a 2-hours-condensed-to-5-minutes video of the process! Bjorn, you're so cool.
Bjorn's also released another great ASL video interpretation of "Pump It" by the Black-Eyed Peas.
While this song's not one of my faves, his vision is spot-on, and I love the inclusion of Keith Wann, one of the best damn ASL comedians I've ever seen. (I reallyreally love the Hindu-god arms concepts for spelling out "black eyed peas".)
Yaaaaaaaay, Bjorn! You've taught me a lot about ASL, including the signs for "crazy", "stereo", and "blah blah blah". |
